Overview of Oracle PaaS Services


A complete and integrated platform as a service (PaaS) provides various services

1.1  Java Cloud Services-SaaS Extension (JCS-SX)


Oracle Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension reduces the complexity associated with the deployment and maintenance of enterprise Java applications. It enables you to create Oracle Java Cloud Service - SaaS Extension instances quickly. You can deploy your applications to a service instance, then secure and manage them without worrying about the underlying infrastructure.

1.2  Database Cloud Service (DBCS)


Database deployments on Oracle Database Cloud Service include Oracle Application Express (APEX). Oracle APEX enables you to design, develop and deploy responsive, database-driven applications using only your web browser.  Using DBCS you can also build Apex Forms and provides features to integrate with SaaS application. Database objects like DDL Commands, PLSQL Packages and Functions can also be registered in APEX DBCS.

1.3  Developer Cloud Service (DCS)


Oracle Developer Cloud Service is a cloud-based software development Platform as a   Service (PaaS) and a hosted environment for your application development infrastructure. It provides an open-source standard-based solution to develop, collaborate on, build, and deploy applications in Oracle Cloud


Using Oracle Developer Cloud Service, you can plan your development life cycle, Task Tracking, WIKI, Agile boards, Code versioning, Git Branching/Merging, IDE Integration, Code Review, Deploy Plans and Release & Deploy.

1.4  Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS)


Oracle Visual Builder is a cloud-based software development Platform as a Service (PaaS) and a hosted environment for your application development infrastructure. It provides an open-source standards-based solution to develop, collaborate on, and deploy applications within Oracle Cloud.
