Configuring On Premise Database in OIC Instance.

Oracle Integration Cloud services provide different types of connectors to establish a connection with external applications, there will be certain scenarios where connectors or REST APIs are not available in OIC for a certain application, in that case, there will be the only option left is to connect DB of the particular application. 


In this article, we will emphasize how we can configure an On-Premise database connection in OIC  and what are the perquisites  needed

To Configure the On-Premise Database connection, we must ensure connectivity agents have been installed in OIC or not.  Without a connectivity agent, connecting to an On-Premise database instance is not possible.

As shown in the below block diagram, On-Prem Database sending handshake signal to OIC services through Agents 



Now lets gets started in configuring On-Premise Database Instance 


Go to the Integration Console and Click on Connections








Select Oracle Database




Fill the mandatory fields like Name , Identifier  and Role as Invoke















Click on Create and fill the connection properties  with Host Name , Port and SID











Provide Database User Name and Password as shown in the below screenshot  and click on Configure Agents 





Select the already created Agent 




Click on Test to Validate. it will the result as Success , in case of any failure do check whether Agents are up or down
